Meet the Leadership Team
KSI is so much more than just a valuable partner for vendor evaluation. Most of our current leadership team has been part of KSI since the beginning. Their commitment to providing the best possible assessment, strategy, and implementation services to help businesses improve processes and productivity is apparent in every interaction.

Marie Castillo
CFO and Co-Founder
Marie co-founded KSI with Scott in April 2011. Marie’s career covers multifaceted experience in the field of Finance, Accounting, Business Analysis, Payroll, HR, and Data Management working with large organizations as a Consultant or in Operations utilizing leading technologies. Marie took the leap with Scott to set up KSI in order to continue the passion of her work in a boutique firm without the large corporate company constraints. Marie believes that a strong team that is built on trust, passion and purpose makes a successful business.
Marie loves to travel with her family in addition to business travels that go along with the job. She enjoys cooking, baking, hosting parties and doing outdoor activities. Marie performs a variety of philanthropy efforts as she believes in making a positive impact in the lives of others.
Lara Kincannon
Director, Global Transformation Advisory Services
Lara joined KSI in April 2012 as a Senior HR Consultant, moving to her Director role in April 2016, to build and develop the KSI practices that are in place today. Like the other Directors, Lara’s role not only focuses on the client delivery, but managing the teams and operations within KSI. Like the other Directors, Lara met Scott and Marie in one of their previous project engagements and was excited to move to KSI to continue working and growing the company with them. Lara’s career has been HR focused, working in many different HR roles within industry and moving into HR consultancy in 2012.
Lara enjoys her role as mother to two, is an active reader and likes weightlifting.
Lorna Barrett
Director, Global Service Delivery Transformation Services
Lorna joined KSI in October 2011 as a Senior HR Consultant. She met Scott and Marie in one of their previous project engagements and clicked with their style, approach and ethics. Lorna moved into the KSI Leadership Team in April 2016, to build and develop the KSI practices that are in place today. Like the other Directors, Lorna’s role not only focuses on the client delivery, but managing the teams and operations within KSI. Lorna has spent her whole career within the HR arena, starting out in industry, completing her CIPD and moving into HR and payroll project implementations before moving to HR consultancy. Lorna’s passion is to see clients grow, develop and successfully implement the end project.
During Lorna’s downtime, she continues to use her project management skills with the house renovating project with her husband on their 18th century cottage, plus enjoys getting out and about off-roading in her jeep with the family.
Scott Showers
COO and Founder
Scott setup KSI with Marie Castillo in April 2011. Previously having worked as a Corporate Director of Service Delivery in Towers Watson, Scott’s passion has always been around the enablement of HR and the delivery of HR technologies to improve employee engagement and productivity.
Scott enjoys spending time with his wife and 3 daughters. As a native of Houston, he is avid supporter of the Houston Rockets and Astros and attends games when possible.
Jeremy Howard
Director, Global Sales & Technology Advisory Services
Jeremy joined KSI in January 2013, moving to a Director role and key member of the leadership team in April 2016, to build and develop the KSI practices that are in place today. Like the other Directors, Jeremy’s role not only focuses on the client delivery, but also on managing the teams and operations within KSI. Jeremy maintains a strong focus in helping organizations develop, manage and align their HR & Finance strategy to their business and financial objectives. He has extensive experience with implementations, functional, technical and financial planning, execution, change management and service delivery.
As a new father, Jeremy enjoys hanging out with his son and wife. Jeremy also spends his time coaching high school basketball, exercising, playing sports and singing to 90s and early 2000 R & B classics.
